Shaping the leaders of tomorrow today! We encourage our youth and community members to take an active role in the community by engaging in civic, cultural, and service learning activities within our community and beyond. Our programs offered empower both our youth and adults to prepare them for active participation in a variety of capacities.
Helping Hands
A teen service club for high school youth in Escondido. It encourages service learning, addressing civic and social needs, and developing relationships and leadership skills among youth
Resident Leadership Academy
The RLA is a curriculum-based, community health organizing project that empowers residents to make positive changes in their communities.
Youth Leaders for Change
The youth (middle and high school age), have facilitated assessments of identified neighborhoods with regard to healthy food accessibility, safe and easy pedestrian walkability and then developed areas for improvement and change including recommendations.
